USA - Meghan Markle (43) and Prince Harry (40) have been married for almost seven years and have been a couple for more than nine years. In the beginning, however, nobody was allowed to know about their relationship - so they had secret nicknames.

In an interview published on Monday, the Duchess recalls the beginnings of her relationship with the British royal.

As Page Six reported, the 43-year-old could only tell her friends Harry's first letter, "H", as no one was allowed to know about the relationship.

The prince himself also only called his partner "M".

In November 2016, the couple were finally able to reveal their secret and tell the world about their happiness - but the nicknames have stuck. And it's not just the two of them who call each other that: friends and family also use them regularly.
