The 57-year-old woman apparently wanted to take a selfie with a special view - but that proved to be her undoing.

As reported by Novinky, the woman leaned over a railing, lost her footing and fell several meters down the steep slope. She only came to rest seriously injured in dense hedges on the outer wall.

Specialists from the fire department were deployed immediately, abseiled down the difficult terrain and secured the injured woman.

She was then flown to hospital by rescue helicopter.

According to initial information, her injuries are fortunately not life-threatening.

The police have started an investigation. They are now investigating whether a photo really was the cause of the fall.
