A woman found her 63-year-old brother, George N. Levin, tied up and lifeless in his own apartment in the US city of Chicago.

As"People" now reports, 21-year-old Geiderwuin Bello Morales and 29-year-old Jefferson Ubilla-Delgado were arrested around a week ago in connection with the crime.

They are accused of murder and aggravated robbery. During the court hearing last Saturday, the prosecutors stated that the three met via Grindr - a dating app for the LGBTQ community.

They quickly arranged to meet for sex and the two defendants eventually drove to the 63-year-old's apartment.

Later that evening, the victim's sister, who lives in another apartment in the same building, decided to check on him again as she had previously heard a bang coming from his apartment.

Once there, she saw Bello Morales leave her brother's bedroom. She asked the visitor where the 63-year-old was. But the man only replied that Levin would call later.

She tried to reach him for several hours. As she had the impression that he was "getting rid of her", she finally went over again. There she discovered that the apartment was locked.

Without further ado, she broke into his apartment, where she was met with a terrifying scene: she found Levin tied up with electric cables. He also had a sock in his mouth that was taped up.

She tried to resuscitate him until the paramedics arrived, but all her efforts were in vain: he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The police later confirmed that his wallet and phone were also missing. The two perpetrators also tried to use Levin's bank cards to make purchases and withdraw some cash. They also allegedly spent a good 3900 euros on Amazon purchases using the 63-year-old's account.

It is unclear exactly what happened in the apartment. The defendants are due to appear in court again next week and investigations are ongoing.
