She boasted that she could prevent death: "Shaman" rips off her victim's fortune
Vienna (Austria) - A woman (44) posed as a fortune teller and robbed a 56-year-old Viennese woman of her entire fortune!

As reported by the Lower Austria Provincial Police Directorate, a brazen fraudster is said to have defrauded a 56-year-old woman of thousands of euros and valuable jewelry - by pretending to be a "shaman"!
Thanks to a published sketch, the police received many tips and were finally able to identify 44-year-old Mariana M. as the suspect today, Friday.
The Austrian woman is said to have carried out her scam between May 21 and June 10, 2024.
She is said to have approached the victim on the street and promised to use her "magical powers" to banish an alleged curse and avert the death of a family member.
The gullible 56-year-old then handed over jewelry, coins and a high six-figure sum of cash.
"Shaman" is wanted by the police

Some of the loot has since been seized during house searches in Vienna and Lower Austria. However, Mariana M. was not found.
The police assume that other victims may be affected. The 44-year-old has since been the subject of an intensive search.
