Son tortured with electric shock collar: horror mother arrested

Cape May (New Jersey/USA) - How can a mother do this to her own child? A little boy in the USA was forced to wear an electric shock collar for dogs at home. If he did not parry, he was given electric shocks.

A particularly disturbing incident of child abuse has been uncovered in the US state of New Jersey, reports 6abc.

30-year-old Kimberly Cruz-Feliciano was arrested after her son showed up to class at an elementary school with visible injuries to his neck.

To investigators, the young victim revealed that he was forced to wear an electric shock collar for dogs at home. When the horror mom was angry, she probably used it without hesitation. At the same time, the woman threatened even more violence if the boy told her about the cruel punishment.

The little boy also told investigators that the device was kept in a bedroom with other items belonging to the deceased family dog. According to the investigators, the torture collar was regularly charged until the end.

The 59-year-old grandmother, Sonia Feliciano, is also said to have known about her daughter's actions. She is accused of obstructing the investigation and tampering with evidence, reports broadcaster WCAU.

"It's just sad. I can't bear to hear this, I really can't. And it's happening here in the neighborhood, and I didn't know that," a neighbor told 6abc.

The horror mother is now facing proceedings for endangering the welfare of a child, grievous bodily harm, witness tampering and other offenses. The grandmother will probably also soon have to answer for her actions in court.

The cruel practice of training dogs using electric shock collars (also known as teletact collars) is understandably prohibited in this country - not to mention humans.
