"Squid Game" star (†81) died: Just three months after cancer diagnosis!

Uijeongbu (South Korea) - Death after cancer diagnosis: A "Squid Game" actress (†81) has died just a few months after the tragic news!

As the Daily Mail reports, actress Lee Joo-Sil was diagnosed with stomach cancer in November 2024 and died just three months later on Sunday at the age of 81.

It was not her first cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 30 years ago and was told at the time that she only had one month to live.

But she fought the disease for 13 years and was finally cured .

Lee Joo-Sil's acting career began at the age of 21

Her career began in 1964 and she has appeared in numerous Korean dramas. In the Netflix hit series"Squid Game", she played the mother of undercover detective Hwang Joon-ho.

According to reports, her funeral will be heldin Seoulon February 5.
