Tears while unwrapping: Woman gets lost childhood teddy back as a baby shower gift!

USA - When Colleen Hortsmann announced her pregnancy to her family on Thanksgiving, her younger sister Fallon Wilson already had the perfect baby shower gift idea in mind!

"Two years before I even knew Colleen was pregnant, I posted an eBay alert for a 'White Floral Nineties Bear'. I thought it would be fantastic to find her old childhood bear that had gone missing when she was little," Wilson told People magazine.

But the bear was nowhere to be found online, so Wilson decided to sew it herself. "I found a bear with a very similar face, but the outfit didn't fit," she explained.

"So I looked for a suitable fabric and taught myself how to sew teddy clothes."

However, the search for fabric proved difficult until Wilson finally found the perfect pattern - but delivery took a whole nine weeks. "At first I just took the measurements of the bear I had ordered, but it wasn't until April that I actually started sewing."

In order to finish in time for the party in May, Wilson worked on the bear for around 10 hours a day for a week.

Then the big moment arrived: Wilson presented her sister with the emotional gift and showed the reaction in a TikTok video she posted online last week.

"I opened the box and under the lid was a photo of my parents and me with the bear," Hortsmann recalled. "I immediately knew what it was about and started crying."

She added: "It was very special as the bear was a gift for my mother at her own baby shower. It completes a beautiful circle that has a special meaning for all of us."
