The Menendez brothers may be celebrating their last Christmas in prison!

California (USA) - The Menendez brothers could spend their last Christmas behind bars if their case is reassessed.

As Promiflash reports, brothers Lyle (56) and Erik Menendez (54) will continue to spend Christmas 2024 behind prison walls in California .

Despite their long prison sentence, the brothers can expect a festive Christmas dinner with traditional treats such as turkey, salad, corn and cake. As a special highlight, they are also served chocolate milk.

In addition to the festive meal, various leisure activities are also planned for the holidays, including a card game tournament.

However, they are unlikely to receive any presents.

The brothers were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989.

Now, however, there is new hope: the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is considering whether to support an application for a review of the sentence. If it comes to a reassessment, this could mean their last Christmas in prison.

The Menendez brothers ' case has been in the public eye for years.

During their trial in the 1990s, they claimed to have been abused by their parents for years, which ultimately drove them to commit the crime.
