Tragic accident: Woman (†36) falls 80 meters to her death at a waterfall

Queensland (Australia) - Terrible tragedy: A woman (†36) fell 80 meters to her death in the Mapleton Falls National Park in Australia on Friday afternoon.

As ABC reported, Kate Cooper was walking along the cliffs at the waterfall on April 25 when the accident occurred, according to ABC.

While looking for an idyllic swimming spot, she apparently lost her footing and fell into the depths.

Rescue workers were alerted at around 3.30 p.m. and found her with serious injuries after an hour of intensive searching.

Despite all efforts, she died at the scene of the accident, according to Queensland Police.

Partner is deeply shocked by Kate's death

Her partner, Simon Rosenkranz (47), shared the sad news on Facebook and said goodbye with moving words: "I will miss and love you more every day and cherish the wonderful memories we have created." The post triggered numerous messages of condolence.

The police have started an investigation, but do not believe that the accident was caused by a third party. The ground may have been slippery after heavy rainfall, which could have led to the accident .

Particularly tragic: Kate is the third person to die at a waterfall in the region this year.
