Travel nightmare: Young woman has to share an airplane seat with a stranger's toddler
USA - A young woman had to look after a stranger's child on her lap on an overbooked flight !

As the New York Post reported, Lily Winward (19) only wanted to take her flight back to Australia .
She said that she had already flown back from an athletics competition in Athens with Etihad Airways in September when she landed in the United Arab Emirates for a stopover.
However, at the local counter, the flight staff told her that the connecting flight was overbooked and she would have to spend the night in a hotel.
Lily stated that she didn't feel safe leaving the airport at night dressed only in gym shorts and an undershirt and that another passenger allegedly pressured her to get into a cab with him.
"I was quite upset. I cried and said, 'I just want to go home. I don't feel safe going to a hotel, especially with this guy harassing me'," said the 19-year-old. It got even worse when the situation caused her to have a panic attack.

So she went back to the airport and asked. The staff told her that she could be rebooked on her original flight - on the condition that she had to share her seat with a small child.
Lily accepted the offer and had to spend the rest of the journey, which lasted between 14 and 16 hours, with a child on her lap.
"For someone who paid 3,000 dollars for a flight, this shouldn't happen," said an upset Lily.
After the flight, she contacted the airline several times with her travel agent, but so far there has been no response.
She also wants to know why she, a young woman traveling alone, was removed from the flight and not a family or a couple.
