Trump rages against elite Harvard University: "Left-wing radicals, idiots and birdbrains"

USA - The elite American university Harvard is refusing to submit to the government's new conditions. This infuriates the president.
US President Donald Trump (78) has added to his dispute with the elite Harvard University. "Harvard is a joke, teaches hate and stupidity and should no longer receive federal funding," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Harvard should also no longer be on any list of the best universities or colleges in the world, the president continued. "Harvard has hired almost exclusively woke, left wing radicals, idiots and birdbrains," Trump judged.
Trump has long accused the university of having a left-wing ideology. Harvard refuses to implement the change of course demanded by Trump, for example in the admission of students.
Harvard President Alan Garber said in a public letter: "No government - regardless of which party is in power - should dictate what private universities may teach, who they may admit and hire, and what fields of study and research they may pursue."
In response,the US government put more than two billion dollars in federal funding for Harvard on hold.
Former President Barack Obama sides with the elite university
Most recently, Trump threatened that Harvard could lose its tax privileges and be taxed as a political institution.
Former US President Barack Obama (63) praised Harvard for resisting White House interference. "Harvard has set an example for other universities by rejecting a heavy-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom," said Obama, who studied at Harvard himself.
