Tuberculosis alert at first division club! Is he the only one infected?
Eindhoven (Netherlands) - A case of tuberculosis has emerged in the camp of Dutch first division soccer club PSV Eindhoven. This was announced by the reigning Eredivisie champions themselves on Wednesday.

"The player concerned is doing well under the circumstances," the club announced on its website and on the social media platform "X", without naming the professional.
The case had been reported to the health service "GGD Brabant-Zuidoost", which had initiated source and contact research and informed those involved.
However, there would be no further infections: "There are currently no indications that people in the infected player's environment have been infected," said the top club.
"The risk of infection for people around the patient is low. There is no risk of infection outdoors anyway," a lung specialist is quoted as saying in the official statement, allaying concerns about the possible spread of the bacterial infection.
PSV professional Lucas Pérez diagnosed with active tuberculosis
According to several media outlets, the infected person is Lucas Pérez (36). As reported by the news platform"AD.nl", among others, the 36-year-old Spaniard will have to spend the next three weeks in isolation due to the illness and will also have to undergo intensive antibiotic treatment.
How long the center forward will be out of action - and whether he will be on the pitch for the club this season - is still completely unclear.
At the end of February this year, the club secured the services of Pérez, who had come to Eindhovenfrom domestic second division club Deportivo La Coruña as a replacement for the injured American Ricardo Pepi (22).
