At the Catholic HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, the staff lovingly care for expectant mothers and their newborns every day. Many of them are even specially trained as midwives.

Now they are experiencing a very special stage of life themselves. As the healthcare facility announced, 14 of the hospital's nurses are expecting babies.

Despite the challenge to the rosters, Amy Bardon, the head of the Women and Infant Center, reacts with enthusiasm. "I'm so happy for everyone," she said.

For the whole team, she said, this development is very special.

The pregnant colleagues have more in common than just their profession. They are also close friends in their private lives and want to give birth to their children in the same place where they themselves support other mothers on a daily basis.

The delivery dates are between May and fall, some of the birth dates are only a few days apart, USA Today reported.

In the photos from the hospital, the nurses smile at the camera in their work clothes. Their baby bumps are immediately noticeable and their joy is clear to see.
