The incident took place at the "Quality Inn" in the small town of Kissimmee. The police there received an emergency call last Wednesday, as Fox 35 reported.

A young man named Piero Estefano But-Castillo is said to have kicked, punched and attacked a 55-year-old man with a fire extinguisher.

When officers arrived at the scene in the late afternoon, they found But-Castillo's hands covered in blood, as People magazine learned from court documents.

The man had become enraged after hotel staff asked him to leave the hotel. According to court documents, his check-out date was January 8.

The victim, Robert Krusinowksi, then tried to calm him down.

However, the 55-year-old's attempt to calm the situation did not lead to de-escalation, but instead increased the aggression of the attacker. But-Castillo then hit the man with a fire extinguisher.

During the attack, the 25-year-old allegedly tried to escape through a broken window, but was prevented from doing so and continued his violence.

Krusinowski, a long-time resident of the hotels, suffered severe head injuries in the brutal attack. Despite first aid measures by the fire department, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

At a press conference, the sheriff in charge said that such brutal attacks should not go unpunished. According to FOX 35 , the tourist is facing charges of murder , assault and other offenses.
