When mom sees something moving in the crack in the door, she immediately takes a photo
Southern California (USA) - In the first few years with a child, there is one very prominent issue for the majority of parents: sleep. For this reason, parents are constantly trying to analyze and optimize the sleep situation. A mother from California can also tell you a thing or two about this. The US-American is currently in the "new bed" phase with her son (3).
Brynn, who lives with her family in Southern California, had actually had some pretty relaxed nights with her son. That changed abruptly when the boy outgrew his crib.
"My son loved his crib, but he's really big," Brynn tells Newsweek. "He was bumping his head and definitely needed more space."
So a new bed was needed, and with it a big change for the offspring that his mother hadn't expected. "My son has always slept well, so we didn't think the change would be that difficult, but we were wrong."
During the first few nights, her son would get up between five and ten times and come to her or play. Even though things have improved in the meantime, the three-year-old has not yet got used to his "big boy bed".
This is also shown by the situation that Brynn recently had to experience. As she was getting ready for bed, she noticed a movement at the bottom of her bedroom door.

Her son had once again snuck out of his crib and slipped his hand under the door. Brynn suspects that he wanted to make sure that his parents were also in bed and that "he didn't miss anything". "My husband and I laughed when we saw the hand," she recalls.
The footage of the tiny child's hand peeking out from under the door also caused laughter online after the US-American posted it on TikTok.
Incidentally, there was no trouble for the three-year-old, even though a situation like this can be annoying when parents are "off duty". But Brynn and her partner are aware that the boy first has to learn to sleep in the new piece of furniture. Constant parental supervision is also important for this.
In the end, Brynn's son allowed himself to be put back to bed without resistance and will certainly soon realize how great it is to be able to call his own big bed his own.
