Wife has news three weeks after wedding: Shortly after, girlfriend is totally beside herself

San Francisco (California) - That's quite a reaction: last month, a video went viral on Instagram in which a woman receives a piece of news from her best friend that completely freaks her out for several minutes.

Cindy Shu (35) can't believe what her friend Sarah Hau Brill (33) has to say to her. First her jaw drops, then she has to cry.

Sarah Hau Brill (33) knew exactly what she had to do to totally blow her sandbox friend Cindy Shu (35) away. That's why she pretended to take a photo of her at the crucial moment - and filmed the curious reaction instead.

In the clip, the women are sitting in a café in San Francisco. Hau Brill meets her long-time friend around three weeks after their wedding. Then the 33-year-old drops the bombshell: She is pregnant.

Shortly afterwards, Shu is completely beside herself. Her jaw drops and she can hardly say anything. Then a minute-long dialog begins. Shu simply doesn't want to believe what her friend is telling her.

After some back and forth, the news finally reaches her. At this moment, Shu starts to cry like crazy - tears of joy, of course.

In the end, the two women, who have known each other for around 30 years, embrace. This heartfelt and hilarious scene is very popular on Instagram.

Viral Instagram video has viral TikTok precursor

More than 500,000 clicks have been accumulated since January 20. "Cindy's reaction was the epitome of too stunned to speak," Hau Brill said in an interview with Newsweek this week.

In doing so, she had to admit to having a very similar reaction to the pregnancy.

As the mother-to-be has a penchant for videos, she had filmed herself prophylactically looking at her pregnancy test - in the belief that it would be negative.

Instead, Hau Brill's jaw dropped in the video, which in turn received almost half a million clicks on TikTok .

In the end, it becomes clear how similar the long-time friends really are.
