With 2.74 per mille on children's bike: Man falls asleep next to highway
Vienna (Austria) - With a blood alcohol level of 2.74, a drunk 38-year-old man rode a child's bicycle onto the Austrian highway A22 and went to sleep there. A dangerous undertaking that immediately attracted attention.

As reported today, a passer-by alerted the police on Friday morning after seeing a supposedly unconscious man lying in the grass verge next to the highway slip road.
When the officers arrived, the 38-year-old Pole had just regained consciousness. He explained that he had turned onto the slip road on his child's bike and then simply went to sleep.
The police quickly discovered that the man was heavily intoxicated. An alcohol test showed a level of 2.74 per mille.
The drunkard was then taken to hospital.
38-year-old is already known to the police

But that was not all: the man, who is already known for theft, could not explain where the children's bike he was riding came from, so it was seized.
The 38-year-old now not only has to answer for suspected theft, but also for violating road traffic regulations and the Aliens Police Act, as he was in the country illegally.
