Woman doesn't understand why her husband doesn't want a dog: when she learns the truth, bitter tears flow
Dallas (USA) - After the death of her first dog, Alexina Bonnaventure (31) from the USA wanted nothing more than to get another four-legged friend. However, her husband Anthony (32) naturally had a say in the matter and made it very clear to her that he was against the idea. It was only much later that the 31-year-old was to understand the real reason for his attitude. The revelation has now stirred up users on Instagram.

It wasn't as if the couple weren't familiar with dogs: after all, they had previously owned a Cavalier King Charles , who lived to be 15 years old. Nevertheless, Anthony repeatedly rejected the idea of getting another furry roommate after the four-legged friend died.
"He kept telling me it wasn't the right time and he didn't really want a dog," Alexina recalls to Newsweek.
For two years, Alexina was in her partner's ear, begging him to change his mind. In 2020, the Frenchman finally gave in and an Australian Shepherd named Stilton moved in with them. The couple moved with him from France to the United States, where they settled in Dallas.
Since then, the excited dog has not only made his owners happy, but also a large Instagram fan community. "He's a wonderful dog and he makes us and our entire Instagram community so happy," says his owner happily.
Video of bond between dog and man is heartbreaking

It was to these viewers that Alexina revealed the truth about Anthony's initial hesitation when it came to Stilton. In a video, she writes: "You'll never believe the reasons why my husband didn't want a dog."
In the video, you are surprised at first, as the individual clips show the close bond between the man and the Australian Shepherd. You can see the two of them playing together, overcoming everyday hurdles and, above all, cuddling very intimately.
Alexina writes on her post: "At first I thought it was because he didn't like animals, but that wasn't the case." Instead, Anthony admitted that he knew he would fall so in love with the dog that "he couldn't imagine life without animals ". "He was terrified of loving something so much," his wife explained. There would be "true love" between the 32-year-old and Stilton.
Her video with the heartbreaking reasons also touched users: "It made me cry," admits one user. Another said: "This is so true and beautiful."
We can only hope that Stilton and Anthony have a long and fulfilling time together.
