Woman orders Rosé Spritz on Ryanair flight: what she gets makes so many laugh

Bulgaria/Spain - Anyone who flies with Ryanair usually gets exactly what they expected: a flight with little comfort in a cramped plane, but quite cheap. It was no different for Donatela Voyvodova (24), who jetted from her home country of Bulgaria to Spain in October. She was somewhat surprised to discover during the flight that Ryanair has a few nice offers in its program. Curious, the passenger ordered a Rosé Spritz on her cell phone. A short time later, she was laughing heartily.

In mid-October, the Bulgarian posted the matching clip (see below) on TikTok. Since then, hundreds of thousands of users have been able to have fun with her.

In the curious video, you can first see how Ryanair advertises the alcoholic drink in the online boarding pass: a fancy wine glass with some fruit floating in it.

For Voyvodova, it was hard to imagine that she would actually receive this drink from the low-cost airline. She was all the more curious to see what the cabin crew would conjure up.

When the 24-year-old finally saw what was delivered to her, all her prejudices were confirmed. But now she had something to laugh about.

Viral TikTok video shows the curious story

Instead of the fancy wine glass, the 24-year-old was given a can of Sprite Zero, a plastic cup and a small bottle of rosé. Amused, she filmed her "cocktail" to show it to the world.

A good 470,000 users have since seen it, including Newsweek. That's why the US magazine followed up with the holidaymaker this week.

"I'm fully aware that Ryanair is a budget airline and people shouldn't expect much. But I found it so funny how this drink was a perfect example of bad marketing," said Voyvodova.

Still, humor prevailed for her in the end: "I had to laugh when I got it. I mean, it's the same drink. It's just the way it's presented that's different."
