Woman sees cat drowning in the sea: Then she makes a decision that changes her life

Greece - During her summer vacation in Greece, a woman noticed a small kitten that seemed to be drowning in the water. She had to make a decision in a matter of seconds.

In a viral video that the holidaymaker shared on the TikTok channel "spetzy.the.cat" , you can see how she jumps into the water without hesitation to save the velvet paw.

Her boyfriend was filming the waterfront when he happened to spot the kitten in distress. It is unclear how the animal got into the water.

When the woman made it safely back to shore, she immediately took the stray in her arms to warm it. The young couple then got some food and paid a visit to the local vet.

"We weren't sure if she would make it, but she stayed strong and changed both our lives forever," the clip says.

After the rescue, the woman and her partner decided to adopt the cat and take her home.

The kitten was eventually given the name Spetzy - based on the Greek island of Spetses, where the ball of fur was rescued.

The video went viral in no time at all, reaching over 3.4 million views and more than 247,200 likes on TikTok . One user commented: "What an inspiring story! Thank you for saving it."
