Women hear knocking on hotel door at night: when they look through the peephole, they freeze in fear

Miami (USA) - The shock is still in their bones: A few days ago, Vanessa Papa (33) was in a hotel room in Miami with her friend when suddenly, in the middle of the night at 4 a.m., there was a repeated knock on the door. When the US-American women looked through the peephole, they froze in fear.

Nevertheless, the friends had the nerve to shoot a video of their situation. The clip went viral on TikTok at the beginning of the week.

It features Vanessa Papa's girlfriend in particular, who opens her eyes in horror several times while there is a knocking in the background. What had happened?

The women were in Florida for Miami Art Week. The two had visited a bar near their hotel in the early evening. "The whole crowd in the bar, including the staff, was a little weird," Papa said in an interview with Newsweek this week.

Nevertheless, the young women met a nice man there who invited them in for a drink and even baked a pizza for them - apparently one of the staff on his day off.

Still, he was acting a little strange.

"He kept going back to the hotel and my girlfriend and I thought he might have been actively working a shift that night," Papa told the US magazine.

Eventually, the two ladies pulled the emergency brake and ducked out of the bar when the man was out again. When a knock came at four o'clock, he was suddenly standing in front of the door - clearly visible through the peephole.

"We both froze at that moment," said the 33-year-old. Of course they didn't open the door, said Dad.

They also didn't dare contact reception because they were increasingly unsure where exactly the man worked and what he knew - such as their room number.

Dad and her friend didn't find out any of this, by the way. Instead, they can now enjoy the sympathy of TikTok users.
