San Jose Iturbide (Mexico) - The birthday party of an elderly woman in Mexico took a surprising turn after the 96-year-old was brought into the party location with a limp. Footage of the moment has been clicked millions of times online.

Dozens of guests had gathered for the big party in the Mexican town of San José Iturbide to celebrate Carolina Gutierrez's grandmother's big birthday.

The Mexican woman was also the one who filmed the sprightly senior citizen's arrival at the event location. In the video, you can see the 96-year-old birthday girl being brought into the large hall by a man and a woman.

The Mexican woman walks with a walking stick and is also supported from both sides; her head is covered with a scarf. Apart from the covering, this appearance is not unusual for an almost 100-year-old woman.

However, when the music playing in the background changes from a sad ballad to a bass-heavy party hit, the scarf is pulled off the 96-year-old's head and she begins to dance, laughing.

Even if her female companion still has to support her a little, there is nothing left of the frail grandmother that was mimed on her arrival. In a chic costume, with a glamorous pinned-up hairstyle and a self-confident grin on her lips, the Mexican woman looks much younger.
