Florida (USA) - This video is causing a stir: since the beginning of the month, the clip on TikTok has received more than seven million clicks. Candace Piccirillo from Florida originally recorded it because she thought it was funny how her daughter was lying in her playpen. But the public has been rubbing their eyes in amazement ever since.

Because in the curious clip, it doesn't initially look like a real baby is taking a break. Instead, the girl looks like a doll. But then the little girl moves, sits up and smiles at the camera.

"When I saw her like that, she looked like a doll lying there and I thought it was funny," Piccirillo said in an interview with Newsweek. She had therefore interpreted the situation in a similar way to her later audience.

But users are much more doubtful about what they saw. While there is a certain consensus that the daughter looks like a doll, opinions differ on the reasoning behind it.

One particular "theory" of the users particularly surprises the mother at this point.

"I'm surprised how many people think she's an artificial intelligence," Piccirillo told the US magazine. For the mother, this is nothing more than a conspiracy theory - but it does go some way to explaining why the video has received so many clicks.

Nevertheless, the US-American wanted to put things into perspective: "I had to laugh, so I made a follow-up video to show that she's not an artificial intelligence, but people are still claiming that."

Piccirillo has since published two videos on TikTok featuring her daughter, in which she tries to prove that her baby is real with freshly shot footage.

Anyone who is still not convinced is unlikely to be reached by the TikToker.
