What is that? Creepy creature washed up on the coast
Oregon/USA - What is that? A mysterious deep-sea creature has washed up on a beach in the US state of Oregon.

A week ago, the longnose lancefish, also known as the "fish of the twilight zone", was found far from its actual home.
As People reported, the fish is known for its "cannibalistic diet, creepy appearance and hunting grounds in the deep sea".
A local aquarium took the opportunity to examine the deep-sea creature closely.
The fish is around 1.50 meters long and whole squid and undigested fish were found in its stomach. The aquarium reported the unusual find in a Facebook post .
"This is a fish you wouldn't expect to find on the Oregon coast. Its beautiful large eyes, sharp teeth and snake-like body set this fish apart from most others in the Pacific Northwest," the post reads.
The researchers also stated that the animal is normally found off the coast of Chile . The lancefish is also not picky - it eats everything in sight, including its own species and, unfortunately, plastic.
The aquarium emphasized that these fish are extremely rare and only a handful of them wash up outside their habitat each year.
