The hotpot chain Haidilao will now pay compensation to more than 4,000 customers, as reported by Reuters. They visited one of the chain's restaurants after two men urinated in a pot of broth.

The incident is said to have taken place in a private room. A recording of the disgusting incident circulated on the internet at the end of last month.

The whole thing happened on February 24 of this year. However, as the restaurant announced last Wednesday, they only found out about it four days later and initially did not know where exactly the disgusting scenes had taken place.

The fact that the employees did not recognize what was going on in time is now attributed to a lack of training. The incident has now also been reported to the police . The exact amount of compensation has not been disclosed.
