Wellington (Florida/USA) - Following the unexpected death of former "One Direction" singer Liam Payne (†31) in October 2024, his longtime girlfriend Kate (26) shared photos of their last trip together on Instagram.

The pictures show Kate Cassidy in a white summer dress, taken during their vacation together in Greece .

It was apparently one of the last carefree moments before Liam died in Argentina.

In her emotional post, Kate says that Liam took the photos of her. They were looking for the perfect spot together on the hotel grounds.

At the time, she was self-critical and didn't particularly like the pictures.

But Liam had a different view. He told her: "I wish you could see yourself through my eyes, how beautiful you are."

Today, Kate sees these photos with different eyes.

To honor him, she has decided to publish them - unedited and unfiltered.

"So I'm posting them today. For you, Liam. Just as they are. Unfiltered, unedited. Just me. The way you saw me. I miss you. I love you. Forever," she writes at the end of the post.

Kate's words and the accompanying photos moved many of her followers. Especially in light of the fact that it was announced just a few days earlier that she is probably not entitled to Liam's inheritance.

As the singer apparently left no will, his fortune of around 28.5 million euros will legally go to his eight-year-old son Bear.

His mother has now been officially appointed to administer the estate.
