"Brutal and incredible": Jennifer Lawrence talks openly about being a mother
Cannes - Being a mom is a challenge - Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence (34) knows that all too well.

At the Cannes International Film Festival , she spoke openly about the hurdles of motherhood and how much it has changed her life.
As Variety reports, the actress drew parallels between herself and her role at a press conference for her new film "Die, My Love".
In the film, her character Grace - a young mother - struggles with postpartum depression, which ultimately ends in psychosis.
"As a mom, it was really hard to differentiate between what I would do and what she would do. And it was just heartbreaking," said the 34-year-old.
She added that she remembers the time after the birth of her first child well - there was nothing like it, it was extremely isolating.

She was also five months pregnant with her second child during filming.
She explained how much life changes when you become a mother: "It's brutal and incredible. The children influence every decision - whether I work, where I work, when I work."
She has also developed emotionally through her offspring. "I didn't know I could feel so much - even though my job has a lot to do with emotions," says the Oscar winner.
Jennifer Lawrence became a mother for the first time in February 2022, when her son Cy was born.
Her second child with husband Cooke Maroney (40) followed at the beginning of 2025. The couple have not yet made their name or gender public - they keep their family life largely out of the public eye.
