Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) - The oldest person in the world has died and turned an impressive 116 years old.

The Brazilian online platform G1 reports that Inah Canabarro Lucas has died at the age of 116 years and 326 days.
The nun is said to have died of old age in southern Brazil on Wednesday.
Born on June 8, 1908, Inah lived through more than a century of significant events, upheavals and turning points.
Despite her advanced age, she always remained true to her deep faith: at the age of 110, she even received a personal blessing from Pope Francis (†88) , who himself only recently passed away.
The title of "oldest person" now goes to Great Britain

With her death, the title of oldest living person now goes to the UK .
Ethel Caterham, a 115-year-old woman from Surrey near London, is now the oldest person in the world, according to the ageing research institute LongeviQuest.
