Hasami (Japan) - A 54-year-old woman has been arrested in Japan because she is accused of being responsible for the death of her partner. She is said to have left him on the balcony in freezing temperatures.

The incident took place in February 2022, when a 49-year-old man died of severe hypothermia, as The Mainichi reports.

The woman is accused of asking her partner to go out onto the balcony naked - then closing the door.

The man had to spend the whole night on the second-floor balcony without clothes, where he was exposed to the freezing temperatures.

According to the police , officers came to the couple's apartment the following day after the woman herself had made an emergency call because her husband was no longer responsive. When they arrived, the victim was lying naked and already dead in a room.

This was reportedly not the only incident involving the 54-year-old: She had previously attacked her partner with a knife, injuring him on the nose.

So far, the Japanese woman has denied any accusations and insists that she did nothing wrong. It is not known why it took so long for the charges against her to finally be brought.
