Car crashes into crowd: dead and injured
Vancouver (Canada) - A car has crashed into a crowd of people in Canada. The police report numerous victims. One man has been arrested.

Shortly after 8 pm (local time), all hell broke loose at the "Lapu Lapu Day" street festival in Vancouver. A black Audi SUV suddenly plowed into the crowd.
"Several people were killed and numerous others injured after a driver drove into a crowd of people at a street festival on the corner of East 41st Avenue and Fraser shortly after 8 p.m. tonight," Vancouver police said. The driver is in custody, they said.
Images taken in the minutes after the attack give an idea of the worst. Festival-goers lie on the ground, being treated by first responders. The narrow street is littered with debris. Chaos reigns.
Lapu Lapu Day is a street festival for the Filipino community in South Vancouver. The attack happened shortly before the end of the event. The background is still completely unclear.
