Carl Lundström: multimillionaire and right-wing extremist

Carl Lundström was the grandson of the founder of the crispbread manufacturer Wasabröd, Karl Edvard Lundström (1887-1963). In 1982, the family sold the company to the Swiss firm Sandoz. Lundström received the equivalent of around 10 million euros from the sale.
He was an entrepreneur and owned the telecommunications provider Rix Telecom. In 2009, he was convicted of aiding and abetting copyright infringements as a financier of the internet file-sharing platform The Pirate Bay.
Lundström was also an avowed supporter of right-wing extremist parties and movements in Sweden. For example, he was a member of the racist Bevara Sverige Svenskt (Sweden should remain Swedish). The "Alternativ för Sverige" party, the Swedish AfD counterpart, published an obituary for the late Carl Lundström on Facebook.
In it, the party called him a "legend and veteran of Swedish nationalism". Lundström was involved in "Alternativ för Sverige" and stood as a candidate in the 2021 church elections.
