Croc horror on the golf course: giant alligator creeps across the green
Kiawah Island (South Carolina/USA) - What's that creeping across the green? A particularly disturbing video was recorded on a golf course in the USA .
This is what happened during a fun round of golf on the sophisticated Kiawah Ocean Course in the US state of South Carolina.
Suddenly, a full-grown alligator crawled across the grass. A corresponding video was shared on X by the account "Ricks Golf".
The armored lizard calmly crept across the course and off through the embankment. Meanwhile, several golfers watched in bewilderment.
"Big praise to the cameraman for getting so close," noted "Ricks Golf".

Alligator on the golf course: not uncommon
Many golf courses in the USA are teeming with alligators. It was only in March that a strange incident occurred at a PGA tournament in Palm Beach when a small armored lizard suddenly crawled up to golf star Billy Herschel and prevented him from teeing off . The pro didn't bat an eyelid and shooed the animal back into his pond.
Although humans are not the preferred prey of alligators , fatal incidents still occur time and again. Most recently, a 60-year-old woman was killed in Texas .
