Liptovský Mikuláš (Slovakia) - Dangerous attack: A bear attacked two adults and two children in Slovakia last weekend!

As reported by the Slovakian news channel TA3, a family got into a dicey situation on February 15 during a walk when they were suddenly confronted by an angry bear.

The hikers had apparently come too close to a bear den, off the beaten track.

The brown bear, weighing around 80 kilograms, suddenly charged towards them!

At the last second, the two adults stood protectively in front of the children and prevented anything worse from happening. Although they were attacked by the animal, after a while the bear let go of them. The mother suffered minor injuries, the children remained unharmed.

The mayor of the region immediately drew attention to the incident on social media and warned everyone to avoid the area.

He visited the scene together with a crisis intervention team and had camera traps set up to monitor the area.

However, the bear has since disappeared - even the camera traps installed have not been triggered.
