Freak-out on vacation: Tourist smashes wine bottles in supermarket
Pattaya (Thailand) - What was he thinking? A Belgian man was filmed causing chaos in a Thai supermarket.

First the tourist goes to the checkout and wants to pay, then he goes crazy, pours coke all over himself and starts rioting.
This is what happened in a supermarket in Pattaya (Thailand) a few days ago. The Russian travel blogger Gleb "mrbochkarev" Botschkarev filmed the strange incident.
In the video, the problem tourist can be seen standing calmly at the wine rack, picking up individual bottles and throwing them on the floor. He stands happily amidst the shards and grins. He is not wearing shoes. Meanwhile, customers and staff leave the store.
A short time later, the police arrive, take the man out of the store and handcuff him. The officers then put the Belgian in a police pickup truck and drive off with him. The joy of destruction was short-lived.

According to the news portal Khaosod, the man was taken into custody for public intoxication and damage to property. He was placed in the drunk tank and given a few hours to think.
"I think it was the best outcome for him," notes travel blogger mrbochkarev. "He really needed help - he didn't physically hurt anyone and didn't resist the police. But why he had to break so many bottles - the question remains unanswered."
After all, when he sobered up again, the 25-year-old Belgian was reasonable. He wants to pay compensation for the damage - around 1000 euros. In return, the supermarket operators do not want to take any legal action and let the matter rest.
A woman had previously gone on the rampage at Aldi and destroyed several hundred bottles of wine .
