As CBS News reports, 34-year-old mother Keyona Dillon was arrested in Baltimore County and charged with the premeditated murder of her 11-year-old daughter, London.

The girl was found dead in her home when police were called to the house on Thursday.

But the extent of the cruelty goes far beyond the murder : investigators also discovered the carcasses of two cats, a rabbit and a dog in the house.

Keyona later confessed to having killed the animals in an argument. She is said to have been convinced that the eleven-year-old had a sexual relationship with the father of her other children - a completely unfounded and confused accusation.

Relatives are said to have already informed the youth welfare office

When she was arrested, police say Dillon was acting extremely erratic and voicing bizarre conspiracy theories about "child sex rings" and other groups allegedly trying to trap her.

Relatives of the family had already tried to alert child services after noticing disturbing statements and strange behavior from the mother.

Unfortunately, their warnings were not taken seriously in time - the girl was already dead when action was finally taken.

Now London's aunt is desperately fighting for justice for her niece on Facebook . She is convinced that the eleven-year-old's death could have been prevented if action had been taken earlier. Why no immediate action was taken despite clear signs remains unclear.
