Several dead in shooting: Police search for man on e-scooter

Uppsala (Sweden) - According to Swedish media reports, several people have been killed in a shooting in Uppsala.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Vaksala Square in front of a hairdressing salon. A large police contingent is on the scene. The police have since confirmed that three people have died.

Several people were injured. One witness told"Aftonbladet": "I heard five to six shots."

Police are said to be searching for a man on an e-scooter. According to the police description, the man was wearing sunglasses and dark clothing.

The background to the crime is still unclear. Shortly after the incident, train services were suspended to search the trains, but have since been resumed.
