Giresun - Mysterious tragedy in Turkey : the crowned "Miss Europe Kosovo" (†27) apparently fled from the police - and fell to her death from a bridge.

As reported by CNNTurkey, an actually harmless police check came to a tragic end: Güler Erdoğan was on her way home from a party night on April 1 when she was caught driving drunk.

The pretty brunette, who had made a name for herself as a model, probably suspected that the alcohol test would have serious consequences and, according to the report, fled on foot.

But her desperate attempt to escape the officers was her undoing: Güler fell 15 meters from a bridge onto a road - directly in front of an approaching car - for reasons that are not entirely clear.

All help came too late for the 27-year-old - she succumbed to her serious injuries at the scene of the accident.

Güler Erdoğan's sudden death shocked fans, friends and colleagues from the industry.

Her Instagram page has now been completely emptied - all posts have disappeared. Instead, a statement from the family can now be read there.

It reads: "Do not believe the false reports circulating about the death of our daughter, sister and friend Güler Erdoğan. She died in a tragic accident."

The police are now investigating how the fatal accident could have happened.
