As reported byDailyMail, the tragedy occurred last Tuesday afternoon in Bankso, a small but well-known ski resort in Bulgaria.

Shortly after his fall, the mountain rescue team arrived and immediately wanted to transport the seriously injured man by helicopter to a nearby hospital. However, just as the helicopter was about to take off, there was a technical fault, causing the rotor blades to stop.

These unplanned circumstances meant that the Irishman had to be taken to the foot of the mountain by snowmobile, where he was finally loaded into an ambulance.

Help came too late - tourist died a day later

Once at the hospital, life-saving measures were taken immediately, but unfortunately this help came too late. The 29-year-old died a day later.

The attending head physician Dr. Valentin Belchev said in an interview with the newspaper: "Despite all the efforts of our medical team, he finally succumbed to his serious injuries."
