Costa Rica - Bad luck: A drug baron from Costa Rica was arrested while on vacation in London . His wife had previously shared snapshots on Instagram, revealing crucial details.

Luis Manuel Picado Grijalbo (43) diligently exported huge quantities of cocaine to the USA and was wanted on an international warrant for his arrest.

However, this did not stop the drug boss from wanting to spend romantic - and above all glamorous - days in Europe with his wife Estefania (32).

At the end of December, the Costa Rican was caught by investigators in London, according to the Daily Mail newspaper. He was arrested very close to the well-known tourist hotspot London Bridge.

What Picado Grijalbo, who is called "Shot" by his men, apparently didn't care about was that his wife Estefania went to great lengths to document their vacation and share pictures with her 20,000 followers.

A picture under the Eiffel Tower proved to be the cocaine king's undoing - the investigators were able to confirm that Shot and his wife were in Europe.

The drug dealer's wife on Facebook: "A journey lasts three times: when we dream it, when we experience it, when we remember it." But Estefania would probably prefer to forget her last trip quickly. Her Instagram account has since been deleted.

The boss was actually considered to be very cautious. He usually traveled separately from his wife and apparently used passports with different identities.

But Shot also has powerful enemies, reports the portal crhoy. In 2022, heavily armed men stormed his property and shot eight people dead. The boss was able to hide behind a cherry tree and survived completely unscathed. In 2023, he survived another assassination attempt - two gunmen were stopped in time by the police.

Luis Manuel Picado Grijalbo is currently in British custody and will probably soon be extraditedto the USA , where he will be tried.
