USA - Back in August 2023 , family blogger Ruby Franke (43) was arrested after abusing her children for years - now her daughter and son have spoken out.

"I helped wipe the blood off the walls", says Shari Franke (22) when her brother was beaten "really badly".

As People reports, the 22-year-old talks about her experiences in a new documentary series from the US streaming provider"Hulu".

She always felt bad when her brother Chad (20) "got into trouble".

"He would get a bloody nose and I would bring him toilet paper and not really know what to do," she added.

He himself also had his say: Chad stated that the abuse was always hidden from the cameras. The 43-year-old and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt (55) ran a successful YouTube channel about their family life for years.

The 20-year-old recalled times when Ruby went berserk behind the camera, "hitting him, whipping him and spanking my ass with her belt".

Shortly after Ruby met 55-year-old Jodi, she told Chad and Shari to moveout of their home in Utah.

As a result, Shari repeatedly worried about the safety of her surviving siblings and even tried to alert child services herself - but despite a thorough investigation, this was unsuccessful.

Her fans had also long been concerned about the well-being of her offspring, as Ruby shared her mostly questionable parenting methods on social media .

For example, 15-year-old Chad once stated in a video that he had to sleep on a beanbag for a whole seven months.

However, after another malnourished sibling sought help from a neighbor, the blogger and Jodi Hildebrandt were eventually arrested.

Ruby and her business partner pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse at the end of 2023 and were sentenced in February 2024. It is not yet certain how long the two women will have to serve in prison, but a sentence of up to 30 years is conceivable.

It is not yet clear exactly when this documentary about the 43-year-old will be released in Germany.
