Breast augmentation causes constant problems: Six years later, patient learns the shocking truth

Jiangxi (China) - A woman from China spent a lot of money on a new bust size. But after the operation, the patient suffered from recurring health problems. Years later, she finally learns the cruel truth about her supposedly safe breast implants.

The woman, named Lingling from Jiangxi Province, found out about a special breast augmentation procedure through a local beauty salon in 2017. The salon owner then referred her to a clinic in Beijing where they wanted to extract collagen, which would then be cultured before being injected back into her breasts.

The doctors assured the woman that this method was not only safe, but above all very reliable, as the body would not reject the autologous material.

According to the South China Morning Post, Lingling experienced severe pain and a foreign body sensation in her breasts immediately after the operation. In the following years, the Chinese woman went under the knife nine more times for corrective surgery. This cost her around 2.4 million yuan (the equivalent of around 306,000 euros).

But her artificial bust still wouldn't rest.

In 2023, Lingling then noticed severe deformities and leaks in the implants.

"I had two lumps on my breasts that extended to my stomach," she explained in an interview. Once again, the woman went to a clinic to address the problem. At the facility in Beijing, however, the doctors insisted on removing the implants completely and having them examined.

It was discovered that the injected material had severely affected the patient's body. Subsequent tests revealed that the implants contained DNA from elk and cattle . The clinic Lingling visited in 2017 therefore appeared to have used anything but Lingling's own body material for the breast augmentation at the time.

The consequences of the procedure over six years ago are now hitting the woman more than hard: the deformation of the breast has now been classified as a severe disability, as it causes Lingling not only physical but also psychological problems .

However, the Asian woman is waiting in vain for compensation: both the beauty salon and the Beijing clinic were closed down because the owners were involved in more than 300 cases of medical malpractice. Not even the chief surgeon was officially registered.

The market supervisory authority is now investigating Lingling's case.
