USA - When a mother from the USA notices that her two daughters (3 and 6) are getting into a fight, she prepares herself for a mediating intervention on her part. But then something surprising happens: The children resolve the conflict among themselves - in a way that enthusiastic viewers say adults should take a leaf out of their book.

It's not uncommon for siblings to argue and it's simply part of growing up together. However, these disagreements usually end in tears flowing, fists flying or mom or dad having to intervene to clear things up.

Sisters Clementine (6) and Maisie (3) also clashed when the older of the two girls helped the younger one tidy up without being asked, even though she wanted to do it all by herself. Things got loud for a moment. "So my husband and I had a quick chat with them and asked them to use their words and discuss the issue with each other," mother Lauren Reed recalled to People.

When the parents then left the room, the sisters began talking in the doorway. Luckily, Lauren captured the conversation between the girls on video, because what happened next is truly remarkable.

Instead of continuing to shout at each other, the children talked to each other calmly and calmly, explaining their points of view and how they felt in the argument.

"I was so impressed with how they talked about it, and I definitely had a few tears from the proud mom vibe," says Lauren. The mother is especially happy about this moment, as it shows that her own efforts in raising the girls are slowly bearing fruit.

"It was the first time I've seen them work through the problem so clearly with the tools we've given them and then both resolve it so consciously." For her and her partner, communication and kindness would be at the top of the priority list. They would also always talk to their children as equals and value deeper conversations.

They would not want to or be able to prevent Clementine and Maisie from arguing, because that is part of life after all, but they have taught their daughters how to resolve differences peacefully and in a solution-oriented manner.
