Complaining travel influencer complains about tourist hotspot and gets a harsh receipt
Positano (Italy) - A US-American travel influencer has had to take a lot of flakfor complaining about her trip to an Italian coastal town. And she herself is part of the problem she complained about!

Apparently, travel influencer Keri heard about the picturesque Italian coastal town of Positano, located south of Naples on the Amalfi Coast, from other influencers. She decided to visit and then post a review on Instagram.
At the end of March, "kerimybags" shared the post on the platform, which was later reported on in the US and UK media. The comments section of the clip was "on fire".
"Positano, you were not what I expected," Keri said at the beginning of the clip. The influencer complained, for example, that there were not enough authentic Italian restaurants in the town and that there was no good ice cream. She was also annoyed by restaurants that were too expensive.
Keri also complained about the nightlife, which didn't meet her expectations. "Bar hopping just didn't seem to be the order of the day," Keri said in the clip.
She also had nothing good to say about the beach. "You have a tiny, crowded beach. It's like you have to go to a beach club, but they're all so expensive. And I felt like the one we went to didn't live up to the hype." And then she topped it all off.
Keri complains about too many Americans

"There were just so many Americans," said Keri.
In the clip, she apparently already prepared herself for the headwind that was to come her way and spoke of hypocrisy.
"I'm Italian, mass tourism has destroyed the entire Amalfi Coast," said user "pandinineipaesini". "Complaining about other Americans is like complaining about being stuck in traffic while driving a car. You are the traffic."
"I love how you complain about not finding 'authentic Italian culture' while also complaining that bar hopping is nothing and you can't find enough beaches (it's a city built ON A HANG)," wrote "sabsuxx."
"lindsdc_" got to the heart of the matter: "Influencers influence mass tourism in an area that wasn't built for that scale ... And then complain that it's overcrowded and commercialized." What an irony.
