Natali Khomenko from Ukraine wanted to travel to Japan and get to know the country and its people. The solo traveler wanted to stay at the APA Hotel Ryogoku in Tokyo for three nights.

But what happened there is still bothering the young woman. "I found a man under my bed in a hotel room in Japan," she describes in an upsetting TikTok clip that has since gone viral.

"Everything was fine on the first day," reports Natali.

"The next day I came back at around 7.30 pm, unlocked my room as usual, took off my clothes and lay down on my bed," she explains. "And then I noticed a strange smell". Natali first thought about her hair or the bed linen, then she looked under the bed.

"When I leaned over and looked, I saw a pair of eyes staring at me. I saw an Asian man under my bed. I started to scream." The strange man immediately crawled out from under the bed, stood in the room and stared at her for three seconds, Natali explains.

"I felt that my life was about to end. Then he started screaming too and ran out of my room." She immediately went to reception and informed the police. The officers later found a power bank and a USB cable under the bed.

Natali cannot understand how such an incident can happen in a hotel of this price range. "'How can this happen?', I kept asking her," says the young woman. The room and floor are only accessible with an access card. The reception staff were at a loss.

Worse still, the culprit will probably never be caught. According to the tourist, the hotel didn't even have cameras.

Natali checked out that night and was forced to look for another hotel. Her dream vacation is over.

Natali paid a total of 600 US dollars (530 euros) for a three-day stay at the APA Hotel. She wants a full refund and compensation for the "emotional damage" she suffered.
